With the New Year fast approaching, it's important to start thinking up your resolutions, but it's just as important to consider what you'll be leaving behind in 2019. Maybe there's some bad habits you'd like to drop, some priorities you need to change, or even some negative feelings that you just want to leave behind.

Now, what're we leaving in 2019 here at Rick Case Hyundai Duluth? Cabin clutter! All that stuff that gets left behind inside your car and just ends up getting in the way like wrappers, coffee cups, and most annoyingly, phone charging cords. Luckily, with the available Qi-compatible wireless charging pads on many new Hyundai models at our dealership, it's all too easy to ditch the clutter and reap the benefits.

What is Hyundai Qi-compatible wireless charging?

In the simplest terms, the Hyundai Qi-compatible wireless charging pad is a quick and easy way to charge up your mobile phone without the need of tangled wires or cumbersome converter accessories. Compatible with most modern smartphones, including the current generation Apple iPhone 11, Google Pixel 4, and Samsung Galaxy S9, this system uses a resonant inductive coupling to safely transmit power to your phone. In fact, one of the main advantages of using the Hyundai Qi-wireless charging pad is the fact that it only transmits power when it detects a compatible device, and stops transmitting power when that device is fully charged so there's no worry of putting extra strain on your vehicle's electrical systems.

See how easy it is to use Hyundai wireless charging pads

  1. Slip into the driver's seat of your Hyundai car, close all the doors, and start the ignition
  2. Locate the wireless charging pad on your Hyundai car. Its positioning will vary from model to model, but most are located somewhere on the center console or just below the center stack.
  3. Clear off the wireless charging pad surface, then place your cellphone face up on the pad. If the system detects a connection, the Qi symbol will light up orange.
  4. When the Qi symbol turns green, your phone is done charging! Feel free to pick it up and head out!
