Head-to-head
SONATA for the win: Feature for feature, 2023 Hyundai SONATA comes out ahead of the competition.
Hyundai SmartSense
Forward Collision-Avoidance Assist with Pedestrian Detection (FCA-Ped): When the forward camera and radar detect a vehicle or pedestrian in your path, it can warn you of a potential collision. If you don't begin stopping in time, the system may automatically apply emergency braking.
Remote Smart Parking Assist (RSPA): This available feature enables your Hyundai to park itself, even when you're not inside. It can back into and pull out of a parking space with a push of your Smart Key button.
Safe Exit Warning (SEW): This pioneering innovation warns the driver when the vehicle is parked and its radar detects a vehicle approaching from behind.
Lane Following Assist (LFA): Helps detect lane markers on the road with a front-view camera on the front windshield, and can assist the driver's steering to help keep the vehicle centered in its lane.

Rear Occupant Alert (ROA): Reminds you to check the backseat area to help ensure a child or pet isn't accidentally left inside after you park.
Highway Driving Assist (HDA): Your "co-pilot" for highway driving. When actively engaged with Smart Cruise Control and/or Lane Following Assist, this available smart convenience automatically helps keep you centered in your lane and traveling at a safe distance behind the car ahead. Not only that, it can also keep you driving at the right speeds, automatically setting your pace based on GPS and highway data.
Rear Cross-Traffic Collision-Avoidance Assist (RCCA): When you're going in reverse, it lets you know if its sensors detect a vehicle approaching from the left or right. It may even apply the brakes automatically if needed.
High Beam Assist (HBA): Constantly turning your high beams off and on can be a hassle, which is why this thoughtful feature automatically does it for you. It can detect oncoming vehicles and also when they're no longer there, toggling between high and low beams accordingly.
Driver Attention Warning (DAW): To help prevent potential accidents, this system monitors your driving patterns to detect drowsy or inattentive driving. Once detected, it alerts you with a sound cue coupled with a warning message on the instrument panel.
Blind-Spot Collision-Avoidance Assist (BCA): If your Hyundai detects a vehicle in your blind spot while your turning signal's on, it may automatically apply light braking before you change lanes.

Lane Keeping Assist (LKA): Your vehicle warns you through audio and visual cues if your vehicle drifts out of its driving lane without signaling. If necessary, it may gently apply corrective steering assistance to help keep you inside the lane.
Smart Cruise Control (SCC) with Stop & Go: While traveling at a speed set by you, it uses radars to help maintain a safe distance from the car ahead. Your vehicle may also come to a complete stop automatically when the vehicle in front of you stops. When you slow down to 6 mph or less, it automatically turns off but can reactivate if the vehicle in front moves within 3 seconds.
