The 2025 Elantra at a Glance

Elantra Overview A key component of the post-COVID and post-recession recovery has been the recent surge in sales of compact sedans from mainstream automakers. Since its major redesign for the 2021 model year, the Hyundai Elantra has been a strong player in that segment. A refresh last year saw the Elantra gain a stylish shark-nose front-end design as well as updated safety, driver-assistance, and infotainment tech. The mostly carryover 2025 model adds several new trims that make it easier for value-seeking buyers to select the combination of features, performance, and technology they want in Hyundai's surprisingly roomy and affordable Elantra, whether they are seeking a daily driver, fuel-sipping gas-electric hybrid, or sporty performance model.

Here at Rick Case Hyundai Duluth, it is our mission to be the automotive home of drivers in the Gwinnett County area. We provide a vast selection of new and used vehicles, exceptional car care, and customer service with a smile!

What's New in the
2025 Hyundai Elantra?

Top Changes

  • After undergoing a refresh last year that included a new shark-nose front-end design, updated safety features, and dynamic handling improvements for the enhanced-performance N model, the 2025 Hyundai Elantra expands and realigns its model lineup with three new trims. Last year's SEL trim is replaced with a sportier-looking SEL Sport and a more highly contented SEL Convenience model. There is also a new Hybrid SEL Sport model.

What Trim Levels are Available for the 2025 Elantra?

The 2025 Hyundai Elantra is available in nine trim levels: SE, SEL Sport, SEL Convenience, Hybrid Blue, Hybrid SEL Sport, Limited, Hybrid Limited, N Line, and the enthusiast-oriented N. With a scarcity of value-priced compact sedan offerings for entry-level buyers, all Elantra models represent a good value. The most popular Elantra trim, and our pick for most buyers, is the base SE model which offers a solid value.

What is the Interior Like in the 2025 Elantra?

The Elantra's interior is pretty conventional. It has a tidy cluster of easy-to-use controls in the middle of the dashboard and standard auxiliary control buttons on the steering wheel. The dash is tilted toward the driver for easier visibility, and a tall center console further emphasizes the cabin's cockpit feel. Lower trim levels get cloth seats, while the Limited models feature faux-leather upholstery and metallic accents, the N-Line features sport seats with faux-leather and cloth, and the N gets sport seats with real leather and microsuede. Hard plastic surfaces are a bit more prevalent than in rivals, particularly in the rear passenger area. Soft-touch door panels upgrade the experience for the driver and front passenger.

  • Driver Seat Lumbar Support
  • Driver Seat Memory
  • Remote Keyless Entry

2025 Elantra Infotainment, Connectivity, & Convenience Features
Through the years, we have come to appreciate Hyundai infotainment systems for their clarity. The system in the 2025 Elantra is not especially flashy, but it's easy to operate. The base center-dash display in the SE, SEL Sport, and Hybrid Blue is an 8-inch touchscreen unit with six speakers while the SEL Convenience, Hybrid SEL Sport, Limited, and Hybrid Limited, N Line, and N trims get a 10.25-inch touchscreen with dedicated navigation. A premium Bose audio system with eight speakers is standard with Limited, Hybrid Limited, N line, and N Trims. Unfortunately, Apple CarPlay and Android Auto compatibility is only wireless with the 8-inch touchscreen, wired on the larger unit.

How does the 2025 Elantra Handle on the Road?
The standard engine in the 2025 Hyundai Elantra SE, SEL Sport, and Limited is a 2.0-liter four-cylinder that produces 147 horsepower and 132 pound-feet of torque. It sends the power to the front wheels through a continuously variable automatic transmission (CVT). The performance-tuned N Line features a turbocharged 1.6-liter four-cylinder that produces 201 hp and 195 lb-ft of torque, paired with a seven-speed dual-clutch automatic. The hybrid trims combine a 1.6-liter four-cylinder engine with an electric motor for a total output of 139 hp and 195 lb-ft. It uses a six-speed dual-clutch automatic transmission. The range-topping N gets a turbocharged 2.0-liter four-cylinder that produces 276 hp and 289 lb-ft of torque and can be had with either a six-speed manual or eight-speed dual-clutch automatic transmission.

In normal cruising, the Elantra's base 2.0-liter engine is smooth and quiet, but acceleration is modest. The Elantra hybrid trims have a bit less power versus the base engine at higher speeds, but the electric motor and 195 lb-ft of combined system torque makes them feel more responsive around town. According to independent testers, with the 147-hp 2.0-liter engine, the Elantra's 0-60-mph time is around 8 seconds, which is comparable to results for the base-trim engines of class rivals. The N's acceleration depends greatly on which transmission you choose. The manual clears 60 mph in a tidy 6.4 seconds while the dual-clutch transmission with launch control will get you there in a tidier 5.4 seconds.
